Emerging Poets
For the discussion and presentation of the novel “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green, Katarina and her group came up with a variety of different activities for their fellow peers. At the end of their lesson, Katarina (5B) presented a poem that shouldn’t be withheld. So here you go, read and enjoy this poetic masterpiece:
The Fault in Our Stars
In the Fault in Our Stars,
Love and loss are never too far,
Hazel and Gus, two hearts entwined,
Their story, one of a kind. Themes of mortality and meaning,
Friendship and love, always gleaming,
Pain and suffering, identity,
Life and death, a harsh reality.
But through it all, their love prevails,
A story that never fails,
To touch our hearts and make us see,
The beauty in life's fragility.
A story of love, a story of pain,
The Fault in Our Stars leaves a lasting stain.
A tale of two hearts, beating as one,
Torn apart by fate, yet never undone.
Hazel and Gus, two souls so rare,
Their love a flame that will never despair.
In a world of cancer, where life is fleeting,
Their love burns bright, forever meeting.
Through laughter and tears, they journey on,
In search of a truth that's never gone.
They find love in the midst of sorrow,
And their bond remains, even beyond tomorrow.
The Fault in Our Stars is more than a book,
It's a reminder that life is worth the look.
Through pain and heartache, there's still beauty,
And love can conquer, in all its duty.
