English in Action 2025

The yearly English in Action program at the Sillgasse offered year 5 students an intensive and engaging week of English-language immersion. Taking place over five days, with six hours of instruction per day, the program was designed to boost students’ confidence, fluency, and creativity in using English in a fun and practical way.

Throughout the week, students took part in a wide variety of interactive activities including language games, team quizzes, and collaborative creative projects. The focus was not just on grammar or vocabulary, but on using English actively and confidently in real-world situations.

A major highlight of the week was the final performance on Friday, where students showcased what they had worked on to an audience of 4th graders, the headmaster, and English teachers.

The program was a clear success, with high levels of participation, enthusiasm, and visible improvement in students’ spoken English. At the end of the week, each student received a certificate of completion, recognizing their hard work and progress.
